Interactivity in Maths and Numeracy

Numeracy is necessary for everyday living – from time, distance, length and size to cooking, data management and download speeds, it impacts every element of our lives but when you mention it to students many roll their eyes and reluctantly open their math books. In this session, our presenter will show you ways to embed interactivity in your maths and numeracy lessons to create exciting and vibrant learning experiences that will have the students deeply engaged and calling out for more!

Kellie Blaire is a highly experienced teacher and educational leader. While Kellie has many years as a classroom secondary classroom teacher, she is currently working as a leadership coaching for the Department of Education and training in Victoria.

With the past few years developing our digital pedagogies through remote learning, wecan now start to effectively explore the concept of flipped learning and how it cantransform how you approach your teaching. In this session, our presenter will unpack theconcept of flipped learning and provide you with some tips and tricks that can help thelearning that happens both inside and outside the classroom can provide gains in studentgrowth and development.
